Our journey in the wonderful world of the Mini classic began in March 2009. My name is Jacques, and until then, I had been immersed in the Land Rover universe.

In 2009, my daughter Hélène got her driver's license and decided to buy a Mini.
We discovered this beautiful 1988 Mini in Vierzon. It's a Mini Advantage, a special edition particularly aimed at tennis players.

It was in fairly good mechanical condition, but the bodywork was heavily rusted. We had it repainted and carried out a thorough mechanical overhaul.

In 2015, after seven years of incubation, I too caught the Mini virus.
We found a beautiful 1991 Mini Mayfair near Pau. It has an automatic gearbox. A real go-kart, very enjoyable to drive.

It was in perfect mechanical condition with only 24,000 km on the clock. A simple oil change and fluid level check were enough to take the road safely. The bodywork had minor dents, and it was soon scheduled for a trip to the body shop.

Through the various maintenance operations carried out on our Mini classics, we discovered that most of these tasks are relatively simple and require little specific tools.

In 2014, we decided to share our experience with the Mini enthusiast community.

In 2022, we decided to expand our focus. We began writing tutorials on the Land Rover Defender and the Renault Twingo.
To improve display quality and make tutorial publishing easier, we created the Meca One website :
