Grille removal on Austin Mini

Vehicle ➔ Mini 1000 year 1991 automatic gearbox
Difficulty ➔ Easy

Time ➔ 10 minutes
Summary

Removing the grille is very easy and quick. Do not hesitate to remove it when working on the engine and its peripherals. It will be much more convenient.

The original grille (GFK2258) and surrounds (AB606021) mounting screws have a diameter of 2.8 and 3.3 mm. Unfortunately, after multiple removals and reassemblies of the grille, the mounting holes in the body panels eventually widen. To compensate for the increased diameter of the mounting holes, larger diameter screws are available (AB608031, GFK2256, and GFK2262).

Black screws (CDU1266) are also available for black grilles.
